Invisible Kiez: The City in Ruins

“ Don’t worry, others do what you only dream of ”. Another world reflected through the distorting mirror of polished metal. A lens. A scrying glass. The scratched surface yields also to the interior. Cross purposes.

The City in Ruins barely needs to exist at all, fast internet connections, slow images. A distortion of time and space through the weft of which we might disappear, as if into another world.

A haunted repetition of a virtual architecture. “Here is not Everywhere”, the Kaiser’s alternate slogan. A lull, a pouring over of the results. All the bad secrets turned sour and evaporated at dawn. The healing sun burning away introspection.

This shadow play of the surface and its reflection, the only constant in the shifting micro landscape of glass and steel. A series of Orphic mirrors, through which passage might be attained.
